A Reminder

This post was supposed to have some wonderfully, gorgeous writing, a stunning message, etc., etc. But I can't put what I want to say into words. I never have been able to with this subject.  The thing is, I know some Bloggers who aren't doing the greatest right now. I know that they're dealing with their demons and fighting their battles. That kills me, because I'm that stupid girl who wants to make everybody feel better. I may do well at occasionally writing rant/inspirational posts, but when it comes to putting my feelings to words, I'm utter crap.

So I'm just going to say the short amount that I can.

Your past, or present state, does not define your future.

Look at the pictures above. You see them? Read the words carefully. Look at the faces. At least one of them has gone through what I'm sure somebody reading can relate to. If you're one of those readers-- Focus on that one that shares something with you. Stare at the picture.

Come to realize that what you're going through doesn't last forever. Nor does it have any impact on what you will go on to do. All of the men pictured above are musicians. They got past what they were going through, to go on to become people helping others through an art form that they love. They found the sunshine behind their rain clouds, after thinking they'd never see it again.

Yeah, you may not become a famous musician like them.

But you're going to become something. And you're going to feel the sunshine again.

It just takes some time.

This was sort of what I wanted to do as a special Jumbled Thoughts but it contained a lot more pictures and was basically as long as my Hobbit BOFA post on AGITS. I hated it, and promptly deleted it this morning.

    1. You know I'm about as vicious as a butterfly, but let's be honest, I'd promptly punch the lights out of anyone who said that to me.

  5. Oh gosh, Adi. I agree with Ellie, you are not crap at writing, and you're such an inspiration to me.<3

I can relate to a lot of things that where named in those photos, and I've always had a hard time in life with dealing with those things, so I love reading these types of posts because they give me so much strength and courage to move on in life and not to let those problems get in the way of my future.

I'm happy this post helped in whatever way it did. You're such an amazing girl, Abigail, and if you ever need me, I'm here. <3

  6. Perfect. Just perfect. We all have something - it can be way too easy to forget that, and we let it get to us far too often. People do absolutely incredible things despite some really nasty conditions or illnesses or whatever else. It might be a hard and difficult road, but you'll make it if you're determined to do so.

Adi, do you have a Twitter? I just made one and would love to follow you :D

gah, I agree so much with what you said. It's amazing what we call can do if we just set our mind to it. :)

I do co-own one, @freakingladle (K & M), with Kelsey. Honestly only on it to occasionally try to get the attention of musicians, but y'know. I believe we already followed you. :)

  10. *cries again*
Seriously, every time I read your blog I seem to cry, whether from laughter or sadness. You know, Adi, you have a gift with words. Even if you think you don't, I think that it's just because you're so full of emotion that you can't even begin to describe how you feel. I know the feeling. :)
And when you do write something like this, something fantastic and with emotion, we just get to see a tiny bit more of your heart, of you, revealed.
And to anyone who reads this who has any of the above issues, I'll say you're not the only one.

P.S. Adi, I just noticed your Camp Nano button. Emily U (afallingstar.blogspot.com, if you don't know who she is) and I have a cabin, and I think a few of my other friends are going to join. Would you care to join us?

  12. Thanx so much for this, Adi<3. Really though. I feel the same about others, but can't seem to figure out how to help them, when I can barely help myself. This is honestly beyond words.
