Ten Books On My Spring TBR || Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a bookish meme created by The Broke and the Bookish, where each week a new prompt is discussed. It's a ton of fun, and if you're interested in finding out more/linking up, you can go HERE. This week's topic is all about books I'm hoping to get to this spring.
Without further ado--

10 Books On My Spring TBR!

(all cover images from Goodreads)

The Hate U GiveAt the Edge of the UniverseAmerican Street

THE HATE U GIVE- Angie Thomas
i got this the day it came out, but haven't picked it up yet because i'm scared of the hype okay. I WANT IT TO BE GOOD. I KNOW THERE'S A 99.9% CHANCE IT WILL BE?? i'm just so freaking wary of every hyped book now after caraval. >_<
bUT i'm hoping to read this next, nonetheless.

AMERICAN STREET- Ibi Zoboi
i got this the same time i did the hate u give, and i'm suuuper excited to read it. it's an #ownvoices story about a girl who travels with her mother from haiti to the u.s., only to have her mother turned away at immigration. the girl has to traverse the states alone, and it just sounds like it'll be such an eye-opening and important read.

AT THE EDGE OF THE UNIVERSE- Shaun David Hutchinson
if you know me, then you know that i LOVE shaun david hutchinson's books. i'm actually a horrible fan, though, and i totally forgot this came out when it did. thus i screamed a lot in the store when i saw it, and this is definitely the highest on my priority list after the hate u give.

Before I FallThe Foxhole Court (All for the Game, #1)Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2)

BEFORE I FALL- Lauren Oliver
i told myself i was going to read this before the movie came out... and then i realized i didn't know when the movie came out, and that it already had. whoops.
still, i definitely want to read it this spring. and maybe still go see the movie if i get done with the book before it's out of theaters.

THE FOXHOLE COURT- Nora Sakavic
because i'm in desperate need of a reread.
(let's just hope i have some self control and don't binge-read the entire series again)

CROOKED KINGDOM- Leigh Bardugo
it's high-time for me to suck it up and finish this duology. I'M GOING TO DO IT FOLKS.
(i might cry and procrastinate. but imma do it.)

History Is All You Left MeA Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic, #1)The Bone Season (The Bone Season, #1)

HISTORY IS ALL YOU LEFT ME- Adam Silvera
tbh i didn't have plans to read this, but the copy i picked up in barnes and noble had a handwritten quote stuffed inside from one of the employees, and it was too sweet and magical a thing to ignore. so i brought the book home, and since everybody seems to give this a pretty good rating, i'm going to read it, and go in with high hopes.

A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC- V.E. Schwab
this most likely won't happen, but i do want to reread this again so badly. i'm going through withdrawals since finishing ACOL and if i have time, i'm definitely going to squeeze in a reread of this.

THE BONE SEASON- Samantha Shannon
i've had this on my shelves for aaagggees, and i hope to finally pick it up. the third (?) book is either already out, or out this spring, so i'm excited to be able to delve into a series that has a few books already out that i can marathon.

Wintersong

WINTERSONG- S. Jae Jones
i don't know a ton about this book, but i read the first few pages online and was already hooked. i bought it a little while ago, and i really want to get to it within the next month or so. it seems like it'll be a gorgeous, magical ride.

And there we go! Ten books that I'll hopefully get to this spring.

I hope you're all having a lovely day, and reading something fabulous. ^-^

  1. Before I Fall is one of the few Oliver books I haven't read. I din't even realize there was a movie. I'm definitely going to have to bump it up my TBR list. Thanks for sharing! I hope you enjoy all of your spring reads.

  3. BEST OF LUCK WITH CROOKED KINGDOM. I'll be here to cry with you if you need <3

OH MY GOODNESS. A handwritten quote, that's absolutely too precious. I'm hesitant about whether or not to read that book, so I look forward to hearing your thoughts :)

Wintersong! That's near the very top of my immediate TBR; I'll probably start it within the next week. Other books I plan to get to this spring are Mark of the Plague by Kevin Sands, Durarara Vols. 4+ 5 by Ryohgo Narita, The Thief by Stephanie Landsem, and Hunted by Meagan Spooner.

    1. I WILL PROBABLY COME SOBBING TO YOU TBH.
It was one of the neatest things I've ever had happen. I don't know if it was a fluke thing or if the store regularly does it, but I absolutely adore the idea of casually hiding things in books. <3

Oooh, you'll definitely have to let me know what you think! I'm trying not to get toooo excited for it bc of the hype, but it sounds so unique and right up my alley.

I've seen Hunted around, but never really looked into it. I can't wait to see your thoughts on it! ^-^
