Hello =^-^=

*deep breath*

Hi.

I realize it's been about 3 weeks since I last posted.

*scratches head*

I don't really know exactly what happened.

We'll blame my criminology class. Okay?

I'm afraid this post isn't going to be tremendously exciting; I wanted to get something up so people knew that I was still alive, but also to let you all know that I'm currently in a posting slump. Not to mention the fact that school is hectic, I'm still a bad procrastinator, and honors history class is currently gnawing angrily on my foot in an attempt to get me to drop the course.

(Which I won't. Because I'm stubborn*.)

*It runs in the family

For your amusment: A Recap of the Last 3 Weeks
-I SOCIALIZED.
What??!?!
Yes, I actually attended a social event. And talked to people.
My school hosted a beginning of the year picnic, and I decided to suck it up and go. I ended up having a wonderful time, and met lots of lovely people.
I also caught a football, much to the shock of everyone.
-THAT'S THE SPIRIT CAME OUT.
Just go listen to the perfection that is this album.
-I DISCOVERED THE WONDER THAT IS DISCOUNT BOOK SITES
There's an embarrassing amount of books being shipped to me right now.
(Seriously though, if you're looking to get nice books for a cheap price, check out The Book Depository & Book Outlet)
-I MET A UKRAINIAN AND IMPRESSED HER WITH MY WALL
(she knew who Patrick Stump was)
(It was a glorious moment)
I also managed to impress one of my father's coworkers, during the same event, by knowing a Christian rock band.
I'm not even Christian.
-MY CHILDREN SPOKE SPANISH
I'm sharing this everywhere cause I love it so much.
-I HAD A POP QUIZ OVER THE PHONE
Honestly, whoever decided that pop quizzes over the phone should be a thing needs to be shot. I hate talking on the phone in the first place, let alone being asked to define science terms.
-I MANAGED TO GET MY HAND SMASHED BY A CAR WINDOW
Don't stick your hand out the window to feel the rain, children. It won't end well.

Anyways-- I hope you all have a lovely week, and that school is going well for you! With luck, I'll be back to posting regularly as the weeks pass and I (try to) slip into a schedule. If you have any post requests, don't hesitate to drop me a comment below telling me what you'd like to see. ;)

Have a splendid morning/day/evening/night. Don't forget to smile. You're beautiful. <3

Stay street, stay alive. |-/

  2. Criminology sounds awesome.
Aw, that's all right, dear. We all often get busy with school, especially with it being the beginning of the year and such.
I'VE STARTED SOCIALIZING TOO. At school. Well, idk if it really counts as socializing. But I'm going out of my way to say hi to people, and I've made a new friend (her name is Cara and she likes Sara Bareilles and has ten billion siblings and is just overall awesome) and some new acquaintances (including this cute boy who I kid you not has Gerard Way's exact facemold.)
I'm glad you had a good time at that picnic, dear. It sounds awesome.
    *applause for catching the football*
I do not know what this "That's the Spirit" is, but I shall check it out and give it a listen.
I shall have to check out those sites. Books often leave me broke. xD
I AM GLAD YOU GOT ALONG WELL WITH THE UKRAINIAN. SHE SOUNDS AWESOME.
Omg ikr I hate doing stuff over the phone. The screen is so small and you always tap the wrong things and now my teachers are expecting us to do like half our work over our phones like wtf.
Once when I was little I got my finger caught in the window when my mom was rolling it up. But your case sounds a lot worse.
Okay I'll be done now. Namarie.

    1. It's pretty interesting, but it's also extremely thorough and in-depth which doesn't bode well with me on my impatient days.
Cara sounds amazing; I find that people with lots of siblings are always more fun, for whatever odd reason. I WANNA MEET THE GERARD FACED KID.
It was extremely fun. I chastised a guy for not having seen/read Harry Potter, and they served cookies. It was wonderful.
It's a new album from Bring Me The Horizon and it is my newest obsession. Definitely worth a listen.
Books are the one thing I can't resist. If I go in a bookstore, I can't come out without something in my grubby little hands. xD
SHE WAS GREAT-- IT WAS NICE TO MEET HER AND HEAR ABOUT UKRAINE.
Doing stuff over the phone is the fricking worst. I'm one of those visual people as well, so hearing questions instead of reading them doesn't bode well for me in terms of how long it takes for me to piece together what's being asked and what I need to say.
It wasn't that bad, but there's a lovely, red, half-moon mark on my hand right now as a reminder of me being an idiot and sticking my hand out the window to feel the rain. :P

    2. HEY HEY HEY.
      I think it's today.*
      HAPPY ONE YEAR BLAGAVERSARYYYYYYYY.
      *cannons shooting out confetti*
      *chocolate cake*
*shoves Patrick Stump towards you with a party hat and bow on his head and "to Adi" tag on his shirt*
Seriously though, dear. I couldn't imagine the blogosphere without you, and you run two of my favorite blogs on here. Here's to an awesome year, and many more.

      Love,
      Ellie

*It seems to be the one-year-anniversary of your first post on AGITS, anyway. And if it's not today, then happy anniversary for whenever it is.

  3. Honestly school is really hellish this year for some weird reason and I feel ya. Dx
WHOA UP TOP FOR SOCIALIZATION *high fives*
Also, don't feel embarrassed about getting too many books. It's a difficult habit to break, but a wonderful one to have. xD I went into my favorite indie bookstore yesterday to get a book and I ended up getting four instead. I'm quite resigned to the fact that when I'm an adult, I'm probably going to end up spending my rent money on books. xD
Also, I hope your hand feels better. <3 On the bright side, if you happen to be a Time Lord and within 24 hours of your regeneration cycle, you can just grow a new one! xD (I'm so sorry, I'm in such a Doctor Who mode lately)

-not surprised you recgnized a christian rock band

-glad that my hand is not the one that was injured because that is totally something I would do

  8. Being swallowed by criminology classes sounds EXCITING. And good on you for socialising. ;) I KINDA TRY TO AVOID THAT. Hah. Although tonight I actually went out to dinner at my sister's house and got sat on by many small preschoolers and demanded to read many small picture books, so I count that as my socialising quota for the week...er, month?! XD
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
