I am made of rain and starlight. 

I am made of pastel flowers and ocean water. 

I am made of the words written in books and the paint smeared on a canvas. 

I am made of fairy lights and rainbows.

I am made of vinyl records and fairy tale dreams.

I am made of the light of the moon and the ink in old-fashioned pens. 

I am made of sunsets and sea-foam. 

I am made of dark chocolate and snowflakes.

I am made of sunshine and shadow and everything in between.

I am made of many things and sometimes I forgot this. Sometimes I feel incredibly insignificant and worthless. Like my voice is just another shout in the void, along with everyone else's. Sometimes I feel like nobody likes me, or nobody cares. Sometimes I feel like everyone else can do everything better than I. Sometimes the realization that I am finite crashes down on me and I forget everything else in the crushing moments where it feels like I can't breathe; when I become alarmingly aware of my heart beating in my chest. Sometimes I forget that I am made of so many wonderful things. That I am here. That I mean something. That I have a voice, and things to say, and though they may not come out as eloquently as I want them to, they will come out anyways and that's okay. 

Because I'm made of starlight, and rain, and moonlight, and sunshine, and shadow. I am made of everything I love, and everything I don't yet know. 

Sometimes I forgot that I am made of so many beautiful things.
