Re-Introduction
Hello, and welcome to Silhouette.
Somehow over the past few days while I've been designing I've gained 2 or 3 followers.
*scratches head*
So... hi? I'm Adaline. I'm loud, probably verging on obnoxious, and I really like music.
*twiddles thumbs*
No, but really, thank you for somehow getting me past 50 followers. The fact that you all want to read about my silly little endeavors means a lot.
The name of the blog changed, as did the design, as you all know.
I wanted to change the design of The Halfling Writer, because I was getting bored with how it looked. I'd had an inkling of a thought for a while about toning down the colors, header, and background, but I felt it wouldn't really go the name. Wouldn't go with how I used to be.
I am on a constant changing roller-coaster of who I am.
I don't mean to state I am completely different as the gal who started this blog. I'm not. I can still quote the entirety of any Hobbit/LoTR movie, and Lee Pace shall forever make me swoon. The wall is still my prized possession, and another one is in the works. I'll always be a lover of rain, and I'll always be that girl who shoved 400 gifs into a memoir post for the last Hobbit movie over on my other blog.
I have, however, evolved and learned more about myself.
Everybody changes and learns new things, finds new interests, but far less than I think I do. Majority of you know my whole story about how I didn't have any likes, wasn't a "person," blah, blah, blah. Since I started finding out who I was, I haven't really stopped, and I felt like I needed to have a blog that could be changed according to whatever comes my way.
To me, The Halfling Writer was too blocky. Too set-in-stone in a way. It seemed weird once I started posting about other things besides The Hobbit, and changing once again. The new name, Silhouette, comes from an Owl City song that is by far my favorite, and the one closest to me. I feel as if I am a silhouette in ways; I don't necessarily know who I am to the extent to not be one. To me, silhouette is the name I was looking for; the blog that could be adaptable and evolve with me.
To put things simply: I'm on this really long journey of finding myself. And as I find myself, I'm going to share what I discover with all of you.
I've done a lot of small things to the blog that I am really happy about. I hunkered down and immersed myself in tutorials and the world of HTML & CSS and I am so happy with how the design turned out. There's little key things that made such a difference to me, though most of you won't notice them.
I'm really thankful for all of you who commented kind words as I was working through changing things; your excitement excited me and made the whole thing far more fun.
The content on here won't change much; Jumbled Thoughts will still be around, as will Dear, and Currently. I may perhaps share my opinionsrant on here a bit more often, as well as make some posts about personal events.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings to Silhouette and me. Hopefully you all are, too.
Thanks for reading, everybody. Have a good day/evening/night. =)

ReplyDeleteYour code proof heart worked.
Isn't it the neatest? I love how it matches. ^-^
DeleteHehe, indeed. My code proof heart proved true. Should've listened to Bulletproof Heart while I designed. Pity that I didn't. :P

Also, what Owl City song is the blog title from?? I've been really getting into them lately. they're pretty legit.
anyhow, you're rad. keep it up.
Thanks, Faith! I'm glad you like the picture; it took a while to figure out how to get the cd's in the right position I wanted. :3
DeleteHehe, thank you. Awesome is probably an understatement, but the fact that you believe so make me ecstatic.
The Owl City song is actually called Silhouette; it's off of The Midsummer Station album and it's really soothing to me. Owl City is the greatest. <3
Thanks, I shall certainly try. ;)
